Why adults might seek therapy?
Perhaps you're being kept awake at night, trying to untangle the worries or difficulties of your day.
Maybe you have experienced a bereavement or another significant loss and need space to process your emotional and physical responses.

Are you going through a life transition such as separation or divorce, a change of location, job or an emptying nest.

Have you received a late life neurodivergent diagnosis or are contemplating the process.

Or do you find yourself searching for a way through life, unable to see the forest for the trees?
Perhaps I can help...
My belief, and what research tells us, is that growthful therapy depends on what we call the therapeutic relationship. This is the connection that forms between client and counsellor and is reflected in how well you feel heard, understood and empowered to, be or discover your most authentic self.

Different to a conversation with friends and family, therapy offers ethical confidentiality, and the opportunity to explore who you are, without the pressure of roles and others' expectations. A chance to explore oneself behind the mask.

Much of the work of psychotherapy training is learning how to walk beside clients whose emotional pain may feel too overwhelming to be shared with their loved ones, or too tangled to make sense of alone.

Working together to understand your concerns, with curiosity and empathy I offer a compassionate and accepting space that helps you build a connection back to the core of yourself. I have learned how to walk beside those who have been told they are too much, not enough or may have lost touch with who they are. I see my role as one of accompanying and supporting you to explore and heal your emotional wounds.
Are you ready...
While I am a creative and expressive psychotherapist, whether you choose to join me and lean in to your creative side is entirely your decision and one that is honoured and respected. Creative ways of working, talking therapy, and psychoeducation will be guided by you and what you feel you need from the therapeutic process.
